Young AI Dublin is our way of bringing together students, early-career folks, and anyone curious about AI in Dublin. No pitch decks, no gatekeeping — coffee, conversation, and a chance to hear about real opportunities in the space.

The first one
We ran the first event in January 2026 and the turnout was fantastic. People showed up to learn about AI roles, training, and how to get involved in projects and hackathons. We shared what we're doing at Nomad: training companies, running the Strange Data Project, and building in public.
The questions at the end weren't theoretical. People wanted to know how to get their first job touching LLMs, how to contribute to open projects, and how to avoid burning out on hype. We answered as honestly as we could: build something small, document what works, and find peers who will critique your prompts and your architecture.
Keeping it cheap and welcoming
We're committed to keeping the format free where we can, with good coffee and speakers who respect the audience's time. The Irish AI community doesn't need another exclusive dinner series; it needs repeatable ways for newcomers to meet practitioners.
If you're in Dublin and want to hear about the next one, follow us or drop us a line. We'll keep hosting these as long as there's appetite.
